Results are in for EGHS students who participated in the National Latin and National Spanish Exams. You can also view the winners of the National French Exam here.
Congratulations to those who ranked
nationally on the National Latin Exam, which is given not only in the United States,
but in Canada and Australia as well. The test is a random 30 questions on
grammar, vocabulary, history, culture, derivatives, and mythology along with 10
questions based on an authentic Latin text, never seen before by the student. The following students received awards this year.

The National Spanish Exam was administered online to more
than 125,000 students throughout the United States. The first week of April at
our school we had over 100 students taking the exam. This exam measures
proficiency and achievement of students studying Spanish. This year students
who scored from the 50th to the 74th percentile received
an honorable mention. Those scoring from the 75th through the 84th
percentile receive a Bronze Prize, those scoring from the 85th
through the 94th percentile receive a Silver Prize and those scoring
at or above the 95th percentile are awarded a Gold Prize.
