EGHS Senior Wins RI 2018 Herbert E. Kaplan Youth in Philanthropy Scholarship

Congratulations go out to Chloe Moss who has been awarded a RI 2018 Herbert E. Kaplan Youth in Philanthropy scholarship for her multitude of successful community service endeavors.

Some of Ms. Moss's community fundraising and leadership activities that helped her to win this scholarship include: Relay for Life (co-chair Freshman and Sophomore years); Girls Basketball Pink-Out Fundraiser for the Kent Hospital/WIN Breast Cancer Foundation (co-organizer past 3 years); East Greenwich Water Project (co-created during EGHS Choose to Matter & co-chair since Freshman year); various class council fundraisers (car wash, dodge ball, etc.); student concession volunteer for AfterProm; helped raise money for a fellow classmate battling cancer; helped organize a clothing drive for a family impacted by a fire, and helps the Beautify EGHS Club.
