From Mrs. Page,
On December 3, 2015, a total of 12 student teams from East Greenwich High School (EGHS) and Cole Middle School (CMS) competed among 77 teams from across New England at the International Economics Summit held in Boston. This day-long trade summit, sponsored by the International Economic Summit Institute at Boise State University, tested students applied knowledge of geography, personal finance, current events, macro economics, foreign aid, and international trade. The 12 teams were challenged to apply real-time reasoning, analytical, and negotiation skills to meet quantifiable goals tied to elevating the standard of living for their respective country.
This was EGHS's second year participating and CMS's first outing. Last year, EGHS tied Boston Latin for first-place overall.
